At the conclusion of the DC FanDome event on Saturday, the newest teaser for The Batman, featuring Robert Pattinson as the caped crusader, was released.
Director Matt Reeves and actors Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz, who portrays Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, took part in a virtual panel before releasing The Batman’s complete trailer, giving the most thorough look yet at the picture, its characters, and the narrative.
Reeves had shown a teaser picture of Kravitz as Catwoman on Twitter in the days leading up to the event, and a six-second film had revealed a tiny sample of Pattinson’s voice as Batman.
The teenage Bruce Wayne in this version of Batman is contending with the emergence of the Riddler (Paul Dano) and the Penguin (an almost unrecognizable Colin Farrell), as well as femme fatale Catwoman.
The trailer opens with a police raid on a bar to apprehend the Riddler, and it’s heavy on moody shots of Gotham City in the rain and plenty of action, with Batman taking on a group of armed criminals as well as pursuing the Penguin through an explosion in his Batmobile, which appears to reveal a wrist gun mechanism of bullets in his suit.
‘Fear is a tool,’ Pattison says. ‘When that light strikes the sky, it’s a warning, not simply a call.’

Andy Serkis appears as a concerned Alfred Pennyworth, telling an unmasked Bruce that if things continue as they are, ‘nothing will be left.’
‘I don’t give a damn what happens to me,’ Bruce responds.
Pattinson is clear to give a dramatic Batman-of-old answer as his reply, taking on shades of Christian Bale as he mutters: ‘I’m vengeance.’ When Selina later inquires about his identity, asking, “Who are you under there?” Pattinson is clear to give a dramatic Batman-of-old answer as his reply, taking on shades of Christian Bale as he mutters: “I’m vengeance.”
Covid 19 issues plagued the picture, with members of the cast and staff catching the virus, the set being shut down, and the film’s release being delayed several times until wrapping in the UK in March.

Robert Pattinson is a British actor who has been in a number of films.
In the 1989 original and Batman Returns in 1992, Keaton portrayed Batman, whereas Affleck has played him three times in Suicide Squad, Justice League, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
George Clooney, another Batman veteran, recently stated that he was not invited to reprise his part in 1997’s Batman & Robin, joking that he ‘f**ked up so bad they won’t let me near the site.’
On March 4, 2022, The Batman will be released.
