Jeremy Renner has been acting for 30 years and is already a big name in the industry. Disney’s Avengers Infinity War had an astonishing box office, grossing $2 billion globally with Renner playing Hawkeye
Jeremy Renner is coming to Comic-Con in San Diego this Friday, so if you want to see the actor in person, show up at 6 p.m., when he’s scheduled for a panel discussion on Marvel TV series The Defenders.
Jeremy Renner has been part of the Avengers since 2012. The actor recently said that he still has a group chat with his friends from the movie.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s original six Avengers have a particular kinship. Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner/Hulk), and Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton/Hawkeye) initially joined together in 2012’s The Avengers, and they’ve gone through a lot since then. They even got matching Avengers tattoos before the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War (with the exception of Ruffalo). Renner is now promoting Hawkeye, his first solo Marvel Cinematic Universe production, which will air on Disney+ next week. Brandon Davis, in speaking with, disclosed that the Avengers still have an active group chat.
“Just because you die on screen doesn’t mean you die in real life,” Renner said. “So we have a group chat and it’s all of us, some who are still living and others who are dead on screen.” “Yeah, we’re all very good friends, and we don’t talk about our jobs all that often, which is one of the amazing things about being Avenger buddies. We talk about our children. Do you get what I’m saying? We talk about our children, as well as divorces, marriages, and home construction. We simply talk about our own lives, you know?” He continued, “Our bond is really rare and one-of-a-kind, and I adore them. They’re fantastic.”

Renner also discussed joining the MCU in 2010 for Thor during the interview.
“I had no idea. Yeah, all I knew was that Iron Man was out, and I went down to Manhattan Beach to visit Kevin [Feige] and Lou [Esposito] and the rest of the crew, since that’s where they were shooting a lot at the time. And yes, I did chat about Clint Barton. ‘What do you know about him?’ they asked. ‘I don’t know anything about him,’ I say. I didn’t read any of the comics. But you know what I really enjoy? Iron Man,’ he says. ‘I’m here because I really enjoy Iron Man, and I really appreciate what you guys done with it,’ I say. I mean, it’s so reasonable that it nearly makes it seem like this might happen. And it was cute and lovely, and I admired everything they accomplished and why Iron Man was such a hit.”
He went on to say, “Then I became quite worried. ‘I don’t know how you’re going to get Fabio with the hammer to fly about and make it believable,’ I say. ‘How are you going to accomplish it?’ And, sure enough, you get Hemsworth, and that’s how it all comes together. That is a great world we live in. The Hawkeye version they showed me wasn’t the one most people are familiar with from the comics, with the purple and the thing and a lot of flash. It was more like the Ultimates version of him, which is more tactile and military-style. And, yep, I simply took a few handfuls of sweets and walked out.”
On November 24th, the first two episodes of Hawkeye will air on Disney+.
